Sustainable Biomass Service Summary

Reheat has experience of delivering hundreds of biomass heating and power projects for businesses and communities. Our in-house consultancy, project and engineering teams deliver a full suite of solutions, including:

Biomass fuel supply

Reheat’s low carbon heat supply is an in-house service managing the supply of biomass fuel to your boiler directly. We only source the highest quality, most sustainable fuel option for your system.

Biomass energy from forestry

Reheat was founded in good forestry practice and employs this expertise when supporting clients with biomass installations. This includes advice around biomass boiler specification in relation to certain wood fuel types (typically, pellet, woodchip or log), and the sourcing of local wood fuel supply chains to maximise the sustainability of your biomass system.

Biomass boiler and heat network efficiency

Biomass systems are often linked with heat networks, whereby a single biomass boiler provides heat across a broader network to multiple buildings and users. Reheat specialises in the optimisation of heat networks and all-round efficiency of your biomass system to minimise losses and wastage, which can translate into significant cost savings.

Process steam from biomass

Reheat have developed a specialism in the area of biomass to steam production for process purposes; specifically for distilling over recent years. By adopting tried and tested biomass-technology, and combining with sophisticated controls and steam safety equipment, Reheat has achieved what few installers and suppliers can.

Reheat has installed reliable, highly efficient biomass-steam systems which perform equally as well as a fossil fuel system, providing steam into variable and rapidly changing steam demand profiles. No back-up or top-up fossil fuel systems have been installed alongside the biomass boilers. In addition, we have also provided a full wrap-around sustainable fuel supply, servicing and support package, ensuring the systems we have installed are highly efficient and supplied with sustainable, locally grown and sourced wood chip.
